Due To the Lack of Proper Cyber Security the Hijackers Misused
Question: Due To the Lack of Proper Cyber Security, the Hijackers How Misused? Answer: Introducation: The case study reflects the public relation method undertaken by Qantas Airlines. In analysing the case study, it is noted that the initiative undertaken to communicate with the customers through Twitter contest explored the view of the customers. The management team needs to understand the basic needs and demands of the customers at the initial stage (Nitins Burgess, 2014). It will be helpful enough in structuring the future needs of the company. The mismanagement of the proper communication method, the company failed to maintain the public relations through the social networking sites. We shall identify the major issues related to the communication plan through the social networking sites (Stieglitz, Bruns Krger, 2015). The customers pointed out some of the faults due to some series of problems. However, this communication process became a disaster due to three major and significant issues. Due to the lack of proper cyber security, the hijackers misused the hash tag. Qantas did not monitor the reviews and statements. The lack of proper action plan failed to manage the initiative of communicating through social media marketing. The irrelevant comments provided by the company by stating, wow! Some very creative tweets out there, keep the entries come. The public animosity started increasing that affected the brand of Qantas in a prominent way. In order to get rid of the problems for the future, the company requires concentrating on several necessary factors. These factors will be beneficial for Qantas Airlines to maintain a long-term sustainability and a strengthened customer base. The major issue is lack of proper security. It was essential for the company to use some of the cybermarketing security and biometric system to receive alert report if anyone is misusing the hash tags as well as any post in the social media sites (Wan et al., 2015). On the other hand, the major changes required for the company is creating the effective communication plan. It is essential for the company to structure a sequential communication plan. It is even necessary to include the basic criteria and relevant aspects. For example, the company needs to keep the focus on the timeline, target audience, sender, key message, and the outcomes. In fact, it is essential to identify the medium wisely. The communication channel is needed to be effective and secure. The management team needs to understand the basic needs and demands of the customers at the initial stage (Roshan, Warren Carr, 2013). It will be helpful enough in structuring the future needs of the company. The company can take the help from the people handling the information security to secure the websites and the communication channels. Therefore, any hijackers will not get the easy access to the websites. On the other hand, in order to get the review of the public perception, the company can open an official page on Facebook. Currently, the Facebook page is much effective to generate the idea about the peoples perceptions. Both the positive and the negative comments of the audience will be reviewed and monitored. In fact, it is even necessary to reply them back to keep them satisfied with the services. The people will even generate the feeling of reliability with such process. Even communicating through the Twitter is needed to be selected with proper action plan. The formulation of the proper source of communication system will be beneficial for the company to overcome these challenges. The following communication plan template will be helpful 1.Timing The plan will be conducted for one month. Mostly in Saturday and Sunday when the people will receive free time to access social networking sites. 2.Audience The target customers of Qantas Airlines who are using twitter account will be the audience. 3.Sender The executive team of Qantas airlines will send this. 4.Key Message 1. Most preferable services 2. Areas of improvements 3. Changes for the future 4. Any more suggestion for the future These points will be included 5.Desired Outcome It can be expected that the audience will receive the response as per their perspectives. If they are not satisfied with the services can present their requirements. It will be helpful to understand the future improvements that can attract more customers towards the services. 6.Medium The social media networking sites like Twitter and Facebook will be used. 7.Materials If any of the audience speaks about the services that have already amended, it can be left behind. 8.Frequency We should send the messages during their free times. For example, during weekends or after the working hours. Table 1: Communication Plan Template (Source: Created by the Author) We understand the requirement of strengthening the customer base for the future sustainability.
